How to Make Cloud in Infinite Craft
Make Steam with Fire + Water, then combine Steam + Water to get Cloud. The complete route takes two combinations from the starting elements.
- Fire + Water = Steam
- Steam + Water = Cloud
Alternative: make Cloud through Smoke
- Fire + Wind = Smoke
- Smoke + Wind = Cloud
Steam or Smoke? Read the name before the final mix
Steam and Smoke can both carry the same 💨 emoji. They are different ingredients. The useful check is the element name beside that icon: Steam needs Water for the first route above, while Smoke needs Wind for the alternative.
| Ingredient you made | Next input | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Steam | Water | Cloud |
| Smoke | Wind | Cloud |
| Smoke | Water | Fog |
Getting Fog after adding Water is a specific clue: Smoke + Water leads to Fog. Return to the ingredient name rather than repeating that pair. To follow the Water route, start with Fire + Water and use its Steam result; to keep your Smoke route, use Wind as the next input.
Why are there two steps here but three in another route label?
The Smoke route written above contains two equations: Fire + Wind creates Smoke, and Smoke + Wind creates Cloud. A three-step label attached to the Smoke + Wind ending does not supply an additional ingredient for this complete sequence. Wind is available at the start, so there is no Wind-making equation to insert.
The Steam route also has two equations. That comparison counts combinations, not the number of different names in a recipe or a separate depth badge. No claim about every possible Cloud recipe is needed to follow either complete route.
Water changes roles when you reach Cloud
In the main route, Water is used with Fire to make Steam, then with Steam to make Cloud. The next combination is different: Cloud + Water makes Rain. If Rain appears, you have gone beyond the Cloud target rather than found a missing Cloud ingredient.
Keep the final result visible as your stopping point. The instructions end at Cloud; Rain and Fog are different results, reached by different pairs. Neither belongs as an intermediate step in the two routes on this page.
Do I need Earth, Plant or Tree?
Neither complete route above needs them. The Steam route uses Fire and Water; the Smoke route uses Fire and Wind. You can leave the Plant and Tree branches out when Cloud is your only target.
