How to Make Star in Infinite Craft

Combine Planet + Planet to make Star. The complete route below uses Earth and Wind and takes three combinations from the starting elements. Water and Fire are not needed for this route.

Complete Star recipe tree
Earth and Wind make Dust; Dust and Earth make Planet; Planet and Planet make Star
  1. Earth + Wind = Dust
  2. Dust + Earth = Planet
  3. Planet + Planet = Star

If Planet is already available, use the last combination. Do not add Fire at the final step: that sends the Planet branch to Sun instead.

Three combinations, two Planet inputs

The final recipe has two input slots, but they both contain the same element. The route unlocks Dust once and Planet once, then combines Planet with itself. Its distinct new outputs are Dust, Planet and Star. Counting those completed combinations gives three.

Do not add an extra ingredient-building line merely because Planet appears twice in the final equation. A four-step label does not specify what that extra combination would be. For this written route, the three equations above supply every prerequisite; an additional step needs its own inputs and output before it belongs in the count.

Getting Sun instead? Check the second input

Planet + Planet and Planet + Fire share one ingredient but lead to different results. The first makes Star; the second makes Sun. This is a branch choice, not an instruction to combine the same pair again.

CombinationResultWhat it means for this task
Dust + EarthPlanetRequired preparation
Planet + PlanetStarStop here
Planet + FireSunA different branch
Star + StarGalaxyPast the target

Once Star appears, combining it with itself advances to Galaxy. That does not shorten the Star recipe or give you a different way to obtain Star. It starts a new target. For a Star-only task, the stopping point is the first Planet + Planet result.

Can Sun + Solar replace the Planet route?

Sun + Solar is another Star ending. It is useful only when both named ingredients are available. Naming that pair does not provide a complete route from the basic elements: Solar still needs preparation. Without those missing steps, its total cannot be compared fairly with the complete three-combination route above.

The practical distinction is between a complete starting recipe and an available-inventory ending. Planet + Planet has its full preparation here. Sun + Solar is an alternative ending, not a second complete recipe in this guide.

What if I have Dust, but not Planet?

Continue with Dust + Earth = Planet, then Planet + Planet = Star. Those are the two remaining combinations. Stay on that sequence: Dust + Dust produces Sand, which belongs to a different branch and does not supply the Planet required by this route.
